NDOLA TO VICTORIA FALLS
Got up at 4am this morning and loaded into our rental van to head to Ndola to pick up Jane, Mike and Bev. I took the backseat and slept until about 9am then watched the roadside the rest of the way. The terrain was similar most of the way (dry and dusty with long grasses) until we got about 3 hours away from Livingstone. Then it turned a bit greener and more trees etc. There is only one main road through the entire country and it is very rough in spots. Huge pot holes and unfinished pavements. Extremely bumpy ride, and pretty stressful for Gerry to drive. We arrived in Livingstone about 3pm and checked into our hostel called Jolly Boys. As far as hostels go, it was fantastic. Had everything we could need and was relatively clean. We got settled into our cabana after hooking up with the team, and spent the evening lounging by the pool and bar catching up. So great to see my friends!
